Face-to-face meeting time is given the highest priority when this is scheduled during class sessions, the only time we can, generally, guarantee that the whole group can meet. Accordingly, makeups are only arranged in some cases, and they are a substantial amount of work when granted.

Makeups are never arranged unless your group knows ahead of time about your absence, and I do as well.

If granted a makeup, it is your responsibility to arrange for, and to perform, consulting work for another group; to print and give to those group members your rating sheets; and to arrange that they give those filled out consult.html forms directly to me in class.

I would prefer that the rating forms be confidential, but I cannot assure that this will be so, as group members may share information.

I encourage you to do your consulting work early, and to complete the process as soon as possible, rather than wait for the end of class.

I will use the rating sheets as a guide to assess how much credit you have earned toward your group project grade.

1. Look at the consult.html form so you know how you will be rated.
2. Arrange with another group, in any class section, to help them with your consulting services
3. Find out what they need, relative to what you can do.
4. Give them a formal plan, and goals, for what you are going to do for them.
5. Perform the work you said you were going to do.
6. Make sure all group members are aware that you have achieved your goals for their project.
7. Print out the rating forms and give them, personally, to each member (or otherwise arrange this).
8. Fill in your name, your group, their name, their group, for each group member, on the form you will give them.
9. Make sure that ALL group members fill out the form, and then get that form to me, in class. Note, this may be more work than you think. I do not recommend leaving this until the last minute.
10. The default is that you will not be performing makeup work (strongly not recommended) such that if I hear nothing further I will assume you just lost interest or ran out of time. So, if you have performed makeup work, you should make sure that I know about it, and that I have all your filled-out forms!
