Week Four
  • Check the schedule for lecture topics and demo dates.
  • The Requirements, Plan, and Design demo is due today. Will you convince us that you have a clear set of highly robust requirements? Will you convince us that you know who is doing what on what day, and for how long? Will we believe that you know ALL about your data flow, your protocols, your screens, your business model, the functions and methods you will be coding, and so forth? Have you designed for backups, for future expansion, for maintenance, for network failures? Is your presentation rehearsed, intentional , and effective?
  • Groups should have made arrangments for backup servers by now. Note that shrike.depaul.edu should not be relied on to support backend programming, and is suitable only for a static backup platform serving static files.
  • Review the Take Home Midterm file, which is due week six. In addition we will have lecture material relevant to the upcoming in-class midterm. Be sure to have a classmate take notes if you will not be present.
