PLOT - Everything we see & hear onscreen in the presentation order

    May use flashbacks, flashforwards, does not have to include every story element
Includes non-diegetic elements such as music and credits.

STORY - Total universe of narrative.

Viewer's reconstruction of plot into chronological order

Narration: Range and Depth
Range - how much information? Unrestricted  Restricted
Depth - How far into psyche do we go? Objective - surface: actions, dialogue Subjective: Interior: dreams, memories
