The neural mechanisms supported by the right and left hemispheres of the brain may contribute in different, yet complementary ways during processes that underlie aspects of verbal creativity. In this talk, I will present research that has tested this idea using semantic priming and anagram-solving tasks and will discuss the role of one’s state of arousal and individual differences on these tasks.
