Complete the web-based tutorial on research ethics and the protection of human research subjects (from the National Institutes of Health) and save a copy of the certificate you receive for completing it. Print it out and also save a copy on your hard drive. The URL for the tutorial is: http://cme.nci.nih.gov/. Be sure you do the one called “Course 1, Human participants protection training for research teams.”

You will need to turn in a copy of your certificate using the Blackboard Digital Drop Box (under “Tools” or “Student Tools”) in order to receive credit for completing the tutorial. If you have already completed the tutorial in the past and still have your completion certificate, you may simply turn it in using the Blackboard Drop Box rather than re-doing the tutorial. If you do not have an electronic copy of your certificate, you will have to re-do the tutorial.
