Text Manipulation

• letter-spacing - Controls the space between letters.

Example

p{letter-spacing: 5px;}
• word-spacing - Controls the space between words.

Example

h1{word-spacing: 10px;}
• line-height - Determines the height of a line.

Example

p {line-height: 5px;} p {line-height: 2em;} p {line-height: 2%;}
• text-indent - Indents the first line of a paragraph .

Example

p {text-indent: 5%;}
• text-align - Aligns the text.

Example

p {text-align: left;} h1 {text-align:right;} h2 {text-align:center;} li {text-align:justify;}
• text-decoration - Decorates or un decorates text.

Example

p {text-decoration: underline;} a {text-decoration:none;} // removes the underline from the hyperlink.

Design Tip

• Do not underline text unless it is a hyperlink.
