This is a project, start early, no late projects will be accepted. I am serious.
Pick from one of the options
Option 1
Beef up your project 1.
- If you choose this option do not overwrite any of your midterm files in the project directory of your students account until you receive and accept your midterm score.
- Add another page to your web site, don't forget to update each of your web pages to reflect the new page. To reduce crowding you may want to decrease the font size for the navigation links. Do this in the style sheet
- Add more content to most of the pages.
- Add some new styles to some of the pages, IE, drop cap, pull quote, callout etc...
- You must use a table layout for at least one of the pages content area. An example, a two column(or three) layout where the first column is the content for that page and the second column are links to relevant web pages outside your web site. You can hand code or use FrontPage tables, just cut and paste the code into your template.
- Add some music or sounds to at least one of the pages. Do not play the music automatically.
- Add a video to your webpage. If you made the video yourself upload to you tube if you do not have enough space at your students account.
- Add some Java script to one of the pages.
- To receive credit you must write a separate web page, not related to your web site, that describes your enhancements. This must be at least three paragraphs long and you should link to it from your homepage, not as a navigation link. The web page must have a link that takes the user back to the homepage. You can remove this link after you receive a grade. You must write some styles for this web page.
Option 2
Design a business type web site to promote a business / product. This can be a real or an imaginary business / product. The web site must be at least 3 web pages and must be developed from scratch. You cannot use Project1 template. If you choose this option you should discuss this option with me. You can use frontpage to do this or design from scratch.
Option 3
Summarize all classes since hw3. This would be done in the form of a web site where each class summary is a link from the homepage. You should use one of the Frontpage table layout templates or layers. Each class link must run down the left or right side. The first link on the page should be a link to hw3.
Grading Breakdown:
- 40% for functionality,(if you enhance project 1, then this part is almost done). Functional means that I can click to each of your web pages. Also if you add other links they are not broken.
- 30% for content.
- 20% for conforming to the above design guidelines.
- 10% for originality /creativity
