
The Women’s and Gender Studies Program at DePaul
University offers an MA in Women's and Gender Studies,
a 5 Year BA/MA Program, a Graduate
Certificate in Women's and Gender Studies, and
a Graduate Concentration in Women's and
Gender Studies (through the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies
Program.
DePaul's MA Program in Women's and Gender Studies
offers a cutting-edge curriculum that
- focuses on the interconnectedness of local, global,
and transnational feminist theories, methodologies, research,
public policies, and social movements
- attends to interlocking systems of oppression and privilege--gender,
race, sexuality, class, nation--to address issues of power,
resistance, and social transformation
- connects feminist theories to activism and social justice
- engages communities through research, advocacy, and
service
The MA Program in Women's and Gender Studies will be a
48 credit hour program (12 courses), including
five core WMS courses, five or six elective courses organized
around a focus tailored to the individual student's needs,
and a capstone Project chosen among three options--Thesis,
Practical or Creative Project, or Portfolio. Deadline

The Five Year BA/MA Program
offers undergraduate majors the opportunity to complete
the MA in one additional year of classes after the BA. Applications
for this program are accepted Winter Quarter of the Junior
Year. Deadline for applications: March, 2008.

The Graduate Certificate
represents successful completion of four Women's and Gender
Studies courses (16 hours, including WMS 400). This program
is available to both non-degree seeking students as well
as to graduate students in other DePaul graduate programs
and departments.
