RISE stands for Resources, Information, Services, and Empowerment.
This site was created in response to a general sentiment that students
at DePaul were unaware of the multitude of resources on and off DePaul’s
campus that are available to survivors of sexual assault and dating/domestic
violence. Hopefully, this site will also serve to educate about the
various misconceptions surrounding these issues.
If you feel that you have something to contribute to our campaign
to end sexual assault and dating violence at DePaul, take note of
our “Get Involved” section
where you can e-mail any suggestions or insight you might have. Also,
you can find information about the Stop Sexual Violence Task
Force. This group was formed in response to a proposal brought forth
by a group of concerned students addressing DePaul’s administration
about the lack of resources concerning the issue of sexual assault and
dating and domestic violence. We hope that, through RISE, we can create
a student body that is empowered to make change and equipped with all
the resources necessary to do so.
