De Paul UMMA - United Muslims Moving Ahead

United Muslims Moving Ahead is the Muslim Students
Association at DePaul University in Chicago, IL. An affiliated
Chapter of MSA National, UMMA serves as a religious,
spiritual, social, political, and service-oriented student
organization. UMMA strives to raise awarness about the
multifacted and rich hertiage of Islam at DePaul, educating
people about Islam, offering guidance, repudiating
misconceptions, and providing instruction. All the while,
UMMA works to facilitate an atmosphere on campus where
Muslims feel comfortable practicing their religion and
developing their spirituality, working with other DePaul
organizations and administrators, such as University Ministry,
to meet the needs and interests of the DePaul community.

Events UMMA has held in the past include the Fast-a-Thon,
Eid Celebrations, Family dinners, lectures, halaqas, Islam
Awareness Week programs, community service activities,
Interfaith dialogues, concerts, and more!
