With Malice Toward None: The Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Exhibition
commemorates the two-hundredth anniversary of the birth of the nation’s
revered sixteenth president. More than a chronological description
of the life of Abraham Lincoln, the exhibition reveals Lincoln the
man, whose thoughts, words, and actions were deeply affected by
personal experiences and crucial historic events.
The following activities were created to accompany an online tour
of the Lincoln Exhibit Items displayed through the
Library of Congress Web site, or an actual tour of the Lincoln
Exhibit at the Newberry
Library, from October 10, 2009 to December 19, 2009
Each activity uses analysis and interpretation worksheets to facilitate
a greater and deeper understanding of Lincoln and his progress from
Illinois prairie lawyer to our 16th President.
