The following groups of pictures are intended for
the lesson Understanding the Proclamation Through visuals.
The lesson plan is designed for special education students ranging
from kindergarten to fifth grade. Many of these students have learning
disabilities that affect their reading, writing, and processing
abilities. Visuals (in this case primary source photographs) will
allow students the ability to understand what primary sources are
and how we can analyze them to better understand history.
In this File you will find 11 pictures that can stimulate critical
thinking skills of objective and subjective observational analysis.
One does not have to use all the pictures, but can if they deem
necessary.
The following pictures were chosen because I believe they will
be the best ones to create dialogue with these students, plus they’re
really interesting
