Lesson plan and description and rationale:
In this unit the students will learn about women's history in regards to
American history. At the end of the unit groups will present on different issues dealing with women
outline for project. These
issues will focus on politics, sports, images in media, roles in society, fashion
correlate with changing role of women in society.

Objectives:
In groups the students will present their topic to the class. With
discussions, selected movies and research the students will have a better
understanding women's history and women in today's society. Looking at how
women have been able to change over the centuries and grow as a group
contributing to American society.

Methods:
Over the course of 3 weeks as a class we will watch and discuss moves that focus
on certain topics, discussion and notes on topics, library time, and a scavenger
hunt
to get the student used to the LOC website
Evaluation:
Use
rubrics for the final project, as well as
discussion sheets for all the movies.
