Meet Some of Our Founding
Fathers
The leaders who had the idea that the colonies
should become an independent country are called our founding
fathers. Three of those important men were George Washington,
Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin. These men played
different roles in the founding of our country, but they
also shared some very important ideals.
Read about these three men. Write down some
important facts about each of them. Then use your notes
to complete a Venn diagram showing how these men were different
and how they were the same.
