Famous Words
Some words, even though said long ago, still have
importance and meaning to us today. Here are some words of important
leaders during the early years of our country. See if you can
figure out what they were saying to the people of their time and
what they are saying to us today.
Thomas Jefferson (about Declaration of Independence) (p.33)

Benjamin Franklin (when signing the Declaration
