The Office for Teaching, Learning and Assessment supports faculty teaching and student learning in a number of ways. TLA connects members of the DePaul community with resources such as the Teaching Commons and the TLA Library. Additionally, through the TLA Fellows Program all DePaul faculty members have the opportunity to confidentially converse with the Fellow about teaching and classroom issues and to receive feedback and support.
The TLA Fellows Program connects members of the DePaul community who teach (or are preparing a class to teach at DePaul) to consult with the Fellow on a wide variety of teaching related topics.
The Teaching Commons is DePaul’s central online teaching resource. Find information on technology resources and teaching policies, discover and share innovative teaching practices, and locate teaching resources, workshops and events at DePaul.
The Office for Teaching, Learning & Assessment has an extensive library and can lend books on a variety of topics related to effective teaching and ways to improve student learning. Please drop by 1300 Lewis Center to peruse our catalog.
If you are interested in information about teaching strategies, student learning, or faculty development please contact TLA and provide us with some details of the teaching and/or classroom issues you would like to explore further.
