Active
Participant Criteria
All
SSS participants are expected to remain ‘active’ in
the program in order to remain eligible for services.
This expectation is based on a recognition of the
benefits to be gained from active engagement with
program services and activities. In addition, we have
funding to support 180 participants and yet know that
there are additional DePaul students who would like
to be part of the program. As a result, we expect
all SSS participants to be aware of the following
minimum requirements for being considered ‘active’
in the program.
- See
SSS advisor at least once a quarter
- E-mail or phone the SSS Advisor at least once a quarter
- Attend
at least one workshop or seminar per year
- Develop
educational and career plan, and review annually
- Participate
in tutoring or academic assistance workshops, if GPA is less than
2.75
- Participate
in Alumni Sharing Knowledge (ASK) program
- Register
with the Career Center
- Attend
one SSS cultural or social event per year
- Complete
Learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI) and Myers-Briggs
Indicator (MBTI)
