I started teaching at DePaul University in 1996, when I started as an adjunct faculty member, and became a full-time lecturer in 2001. My primary courses are statistics, research methods, sociology of sports, and race & ethnicity.
I am also Research Director at Egan Urban Center where he provides assistance to other faculty members, graduate students across various disciplines with their research projects. I also have collaborated with number of other organizations including University of Illinois-Chicago, Metropolitan Chicago Information Center (MCIC), Chicago Metropolis 2020, NeighborSpace, and Kovler Center.
Prior to my positions at DePaul, I worked as a survey researcher for the American Medical Association, a research analyst for Riverside Publishing Company, a publisher of various standardized assessments including Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) and Stanford-Binet, and a research statistician for Nielsen Media Research, July 16, 2008 I received B.S. in sociology and certificate in Concentration in Analysis & Research (CAR) from University of Wisconsin-Madison and M.A. in sociology from DePaul University. I am currently a doctoral candidate in sociology at University of Illinois-Chicago.
Away from school, I play violin for Chicago Businessmen’s Orchestra (www.cborch.org), the older community orchestra in the city. And as a member of Society for American Baseball Research (SABR), I have maintained great interest in all aspects of baseball. |
