A Beautiful Colorado Landscape
Stan Cohn's Home Page
At DePaul University

As you could guess, the picture is not of DePaul
(which is in the heart of Chicago)
or my home
(which is in Skokie).

However, this beautiful picture of Breckenridge reminds me of Colorado where I was born, grew up, and went to graduate school. I miss the mountains!!

My family includes a wonderful wife (Sara), a beautiful 9 year-old daughter (Rachel), and a busy little 3 year old boy (Jacob).

Rachel and Jacob are the best of pals.

We all loved our trip last year to see the Space Shuttle launch (STS-82).

I am a Cell Biologist (Associate Professor) at DePaul University at the Lincoln Park Campus.
I love Biology.
I love Cells.
I love working with students.
I love Microscopes.
I hate the 45 min to 1 hr commute I make each day.
(with equal hatred of the el and the highway)

If you would like to know more about my work. Please feel free to visit my professional home page (still in development).

Besides my family and my work, most of my time has been taken up lately with the synagogue that I belong to, Niles Township Jewish Congregation.

I also try to get a little Judaism in daily by checking into Torah Fax which has daily timely commentarries on the Jewish holidays and weekly Torah portions.

I also like to check the Jewish Family Page for intersting and topical Jewish information and nice ways to help families celebrate Judaism.
