New Faculty Teaching Development Survey

This information is being collected for research purposes. The results of this survey will be published as part of an analysis of our efforts nationally to orient and train new faculty to the complexities of today's higher education classrooms. The publication of the survey is not yet fixed, but my intention is to submit it in the form of an article to the Chronicle of Higher Education. This survey will help inform the profession of what the national trends are in enhancing teaching skills.
I feel bound to disclose to you that my research on this topic has already resulted
in a monograph on new faculty teaching development. In addition to contacting
the individuals whose email addresses you provide for information about your
institution's new faculty teaching development practices, In the context of
establishing my credentials, I will also inform them of my background, including
the title, publication year and website for the book. If these individuals choose
to buy that book, I may indirectly benefit materially from the information you
provide.
