Personal Training

Whether you're starting a new exercise program or looking for new direction with your current program, our personal trainers can help. Personal training is individualized instruction that incorporates one's health history, goals, and current lifestyle into a comprehensive and educational exercise program that meets the client's specific needs, whether those include general health and fitness goals, weight management, or sport-specific training.

Why Hire a Personal Trainer?
There are many benefits to working with a Personal Trainer, including:

  • Learning how to exercise more effectively, efficiently, and safely
  • Alleviating boredom and increasing your motivation and enjoyment
  • Experiencing more effective sport- or event- specific training
  • Decreasing your injury risk
  • Having a readily available resource of accurate fitness information

About Our Trainers
All of our Personal Trainers are qualified instructors with credentials ranging from university degrees to accredited certifications from national organizations, including the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the American Council on Exercise (ACE), the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). All of them
adhere to DePaul University’s high standards of service, and have the expertise to help you reach your goals. To help you more effectively find a personal trainer who matches your goals and interests, we offer two levels of Personal Trainers.

Level 1 Trainers are skilled professionals with the knowledge and resources to assist clients with various goals and interests, ranging from weight loss to sport-specific training. You can expect Level 1 Trainers to provide safe, effective, and challenging workouts that incorporate goal setting and education into your personal plan.

Leve 2 Trainers have achieved an advanced level of experience and education. They have the expertise to assist clients in addressing chronic diseases, injury rehabilitation, pre- and post-natal training, advanced sport conditioning, and training for older adults. You can expect Level 2 Trainers to provide more advanced coaching and instruction.
