Intramural Officials Training
The sports official is one of the
most important elements for the success of any intramural sports
program. Officiating can be demanding and challenging at times,
but there are few student positions that involve the mix of responsibility,
leadership, decision-making, athleticism, and public relations
skills that are necessary in sports officiating. The intramural
program is always in need of students interested in sports and
officiating.
No experience is necessary!
All that is necessary is a desire to learn, a positive attitude,
and a willingness to have fun.
Campus Recreation
provides a great atmosphere in which to work. Hours are flexible,
paid training is available, and advancement opportunities exist
within the program, as well as the department. Meetings and clinics
are held at the beginning of each quarter to prepare student
officials for the upcoming sports season.
