The Center for Cultural Understanding and Change at the Field Museum would like to invite you to visit an exciting new exhibit, "Re-presenting The Migration: Reproductions of Paintings by Jacob Lawrence."  In his work, "The Migration," artist Jacob Lawrence deftly captured the early twentieth century phenomenon of American Blacks migrating from the South to settle in northern cities in a sixty-panel series of artwork.  In collaboration with Triple Candie Gallery in Harlem, the Field Museum is pleased to bring Lawrence's poignant works of this important facet of American history to Chicago.
