If you have declared Political Science as your major, the name of your faculty advisor is shown on your course history report, available through the Campus Connection portal. Faculty advisors can help you choose courses which fit your major and your career goals. Contact your advisor directly to make an appointment. Please bring a copy of your updated credit evaluation (see Tools below) to the meeting. If you are considering Political Science as your major or as a minor, or are a newly-declared PSC major/minor, your advisor is LaShelle Newland, our advising coordinator. You can request an appointment with Ms. Newland by sending an e-mail to PSCadvising@depaul.edu or by contacting the Political Science office. Please bring a copy of your current credit evaluation and course history (see Tools below) to the meeting. Can I change advisors? Yes. You can choose any full-time Political Science faculty member to be your advisor. If you'd you like to change your advisor, simply send an e-mail to PSCadvising@depaul.edu. Include your DePaul ID number and the name of the faculty member you'd like to have as your advisor. Tools to Help You Track Your Progress The Course History report lists all courses you have taken and the grades received in each course. It is available through the Campus Connection portal. Note that this is not an official course transcript. The Degree Progress report is a detailed outline of your degree requirements and illustrates which requirements have or have not been completed. It is available through the Campus Connection portal. The Credit Evaluation is another tool you can use to track the courses you have completed toward your major. Because curriculum requirements sometimes change, use the form which was in effect at the time you were admitted to DePaul.
