Supplies:

We keep a small amount of supplies in the mailroom in the top drawer.(i.e. blue books, scantrons, pens, pencils). Other supplies are located in the storage room. Please ask a staff member for the key. If you take the last one of something or you notice it is running low, please notify Dianne so we can replenish the supplies.

Conference Room:

The department office has a conference room (7019 DPC) available for DePaul related activities. The conference room comfortably seats between 15-20 people. Please reserve the time slot you would like to use the conference room for with the Department Secretary.

Exams:

The department secretary can do photocopying of exams for you. Please deliver your exam to the department secretary 24 hours in advance so they we can ensure your exam is ready for your class. Your exams can also be picked up at the Department Secretary's desk. Student workers may not copy exams for confidentiality reasons.

If you need someone to proctor your exam it must be someone who is qualified to teach the course. The proctor must have a masters degree. In any case, you must notify the department chairman via email (gplasch1@condor.depaul.edu).

If you change your final exam time let the department staff know the time and the location.

Make-up exams need to follow university policy. According to the DePaul University Bulletin:

Make-up examinations are held on scheduled calendar dates.

Applications for make-up examinations must be filed in the student’s College or School office three weeks prior to the scheduled date. A fee of $10.00 is charged for each scheduled make-up examination.

A fee of $20.00 is charged for an examination taken at any time other than the scheduled dates. The instructor has the option of accepting or rejecting the application for a make-up examination.

Evaluation Procedures:

Course evaluations are done during the last week of classes. The Operations Manager coordinates this process. Graduate Assistants and student workers will be administering your evaluation if your class is at the loop campus. If we do not have enough administrators and for classes offered on Saturdays and at suburban campuses, we ask that you have a student administer the evaluation.

If you teach night classes and would like the evaluations done at a time other than the start of class, we also ask that you have a student from your class administer the evaluation.

Please ask the student who administered the evaluation to drop off the evaluation in Suite 7000 in the DePaul Center.

The completed evaluations will be returned to you after the quarter has ended and grades have been submitted.

Mail:

In the photocopy room in the management department, all adjunct faculty members have a file folder with their name on it that serves as a mailbox. Any mail that is delivered to the department will be placed in your mailbox for you.

Office Hours:

Monday-Thursday 8:30am to 6:00pm. Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm

Please do not prop doors open when they are locked. You can use your ID to open the front door. The side door will remained locked at all times and should NEVER be propped open

 Office Space:

The department has two offices (7003 and 7031) available for adjunct faculty members on first come, first serve basis. Please ask a staff member to open the office for you, when you wish to use the office.

Other Services:

Student Papers:

Please notify the front desk when they should be expecting papers to be turned in. It is also important that anything turned into the front desk has the professor’s name and course number on it. We ask you to notify your students because the department receives several papers without professor’s names or course numbers on it.

When you leave papers for your students to pick-up, please notify the front desk. Also, please notify the front desk if you told the students that the papers would be available but will not.

The front desk will keep papers until one month after the quarter ends. At this time, the papers will be returned to you.

Paychecks/Direct Deposit Stubs:

The University now mails paychecks directly to your house; however, direct deposit stubs are delivered to the Management department and placed in your mailbox.

Photocopying:

The front desk receptionist will make copies for you, but we ask that you give 24 hours to have your copies completed. Completed copies are placed in your mailbox.

Scantrons, scantron readers:

On the seventh floor of the DePaul Center in the copy center, DPC 7700, (not the department's copy room), a scantron reader is available for your use. If you need any assistance, please see the department secretary.

Syllabi Files:

Syllabi must be give to Dianne Cichanski, the department secretary, at least two weeks before the first day of the quarter via printed and electronic format. Please email your syllabus to Dianne (dcichans@wppost.depaul.edu) or give her a disk copy. As a last resort, Dianne will accept a very clean hard copy.

If your syllabi are on the web on your homepage, please notify Dianne.

If you would like to see a copy of another professor's syllabus, all of the department's syllabi are available on the department's web page (http://www.depaul.edu/~mgt/).

Textbooks:

You will receive your book order form from Dianne. Please return it to her as quickly as possible. Please submit the book order to Dianne not the bookstore so she can keep track of all items ordered.
