MATH CLUB ELECTIONS FOR YEAR 2008/2009

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PRESIDENT

Rolande Mbatchou:

My full name is Keyim Rolande Sonya Mbatchou but I generally go with Rolande. I was Vice-President this year of the Math Club, and I was able to interact with many students who are interested in Mathematics. I am also known for being a math tutor, TA, or SI for certain math classes. In fact, I want to foster a greater understanding of mathematics and promote intellectual events related to this field.  As president this upcoming year, I will organize social, entertaining, and informational events, which will help students broaden their knowledge of Mathematics and interact with each other.

VICE-PRESIDENT

Chai Xiao Ming:

I'm Xiao Ming, Chai. I'm a senior student in DePaul University and planning to continue my master in DePaul next year. My undergraduate major is statistic and my concentration in Master will be Applied Statistic. I took a lot of math classes for the past 3 years which I think it can contribute some of my knowledge in Math Club. As you know, I'm organize and responsible.

Kellie Radnis

I'm a First Year at DePaul and have been involved with Math Club throughout this year.  I have a strong passion for math, especially calculus.  In the past I was President of my high school's Mathletes, and I have been a Mathlete for six years.  I believe I could be a great Vice President, if given the chance and I cannot wait to get more involved with Math Club.

Mishita Garg

SECRETARY

 Han Howard

I am very interested in Math. Recently, I’ve decided to major in actuarial science. Math is definitely something that I enjoy very much and feel like worth pursuing for the rest of my college years. I am willing to serve for the math club so that I can contribute my organization skills to help more people connecting their interests in math with the possible future career paths. In addition, through my effort I want to create more opportunities for students to get ahead in their professional network with all the prestigious companies. I sincerely ask all the students to vote for me as the secretary/treasurer of DePaul Math club.

TREASURER

Joelle Mbatchou:

I will be a sophomore during the year 2008/2009. I am majoring in Biology, Statistics, and with a minor in Community Services. By being an active member of the Math Club, I aim at encouraging students to pursue a career related to Mathematics and making them understand that it is possible to succeed in the field.
