Chris Gilchrist gave a talk at the CRLA Southeast Symposium on February 7th at Kennesaw State University entitled "Learning Support Service Reading Group Presentations: Employment of Foreign Film Study in LSS Reading Courses."

As part of The Sound of the Page Project in AP English Language with Ray Salazar (MAW '03), students at Jones College Prep created audio essays to increase their understanding of rhetoric and develop their critical thinking skills. Cheryl Trauscht (MAE ‘07) presented a paper, “Seemly Words, Unseemly Behavior: Deception on the Medieval and Renaissance Stage,” at a conference hosted by the Renaissance Society of America in Los Angeles, CA.

Ryan Van Meter (MAW '05), who is currently finishing an MFA in nonfiction at Iowa, has just learned that one of his essays has been selected by Mary Oliver for this year's Best American Essays. He has also been awarded a competitive summer residency at the MacDowell Colony.
