What are the prerequisites for admission in the M.S. Program in Applied Statistics?
A B.S./ B.A degree in mathematics or related fields.

How many graduate courses taken at another academic institution may be transferred?
Up to two courses provided they are equivalent to DePaul’s courses and did not count toward another degree.
What are the requirements to complete the M.S. degree?
Twelve graduate courses [48 credit hours] and two sets of comprehensive examinations
How long will it take to complete the Program?
Two academic years if one takes two courses per quarter. It will take longer for those taking one course per quarter.
Where are the classes held?
The Applied Mathematics program is exclusively held at the Lincoln Park Campus, while the Applied Statistics program is offered at the Naperville campus. Students may take classes on either campus.
Do you offer graduate courses in the summer?
Yes. We offer one course at the Lincoln Park Campus during summer session-I.
When are the Comprehensive Exams offered?
The exams are offered twice/year on the last two Saturdays of October and April.
You should contact the program director at the beginning of the quarter when you wish to take the exams.
If I fail on one or more of the comprehensive exams, do I have a second chance?
Yes. A student is allowed to take them at most twice.

Six graduate courses in statistics.
