The Center for Culture and History of Black Diaspora is developing a study abroad program in collaboration with the Foreign Study Program which explores the Roots / Routes of African diaspora population. Moving beyond "areas studies" or "country study"  the  Roots and Routes program focus on the African diaspora population as historical actors and subjects and their intersections with  many other diasporas in the Atlantic world.   The Roots / Routes study abroad program will be organized around particular historical and contemporary themes that highlight the interconnections, intersections and exchanges between and among African-descended populations and others. For more information about this program, please contact Professor Fassil Demissie, fdemissi@depaul.edu
