Fund to Promote Research and Scholarship

The purpose of this fund is to promote research projects or creative endeavors related to the Black Diaspora. Competitive grants up to $2,500 are designed to defray expenses associated with projects or creative work likely to result in some form of scholarly publication or artistic production.  In addition to encouraging faculty members to engage in scholarly and creative work, the fund provides support for activities that enhance professional growth and development in one’s field or discipline as related to African and Black Diaspora Studies. The Center encourages proposals in which faculty research and creative work will have a substantial impact on recipients’ teaching and course development.
