Crossroads Program


Crossroads is a program designed to identify individuals with medium to high risk delinquency tendencies before such behaviors result in court involvement.  Participants will be exposed to alternative skills and opportunities to enhance their lives.

Who is Served by Crossroads?

    Crossroads serves youth ages 10-17 and their families living in Chicago's Cabrini-Green and Lathrop Homes Communities.

Crossroads Services offered:

  • Assessment of youth and family needs and strengths.
  • Development of individualized service plan.
  • Referral, linkage, and support services.
  • Psychoeducational and prevention group services to youth and parents such as anger management and conflict resolution.
  • Advocacy for schools and communities.
  • Community partners include: Jenner Academy of the Arts, Manierre School, and Cotter Boys & Girls Club.

Time and Location:

    Youth groups meet during the day of after school depending on the location. Parent groups are held once a month at convenient community locations.

Fees:

    There are no fees for Crossroads. Funding for Crossroads is provided by the Deparment of Human Services Office of Prevention and DePaul University.
