Forty-five professionals attended our technical workshop, “Form-Based Codes in Suburban Communities: Fad or Future?”.  Carol Wyant of the  Form-Based Codes Institute, Kirk Bishop of Duncan Associates and John Hedrick of the Village of Glenview’s Appearance Review Commission, shared perspectives on this emerging planning tool at this December 6 event. Text Box: Training our Future Planners We’re moving ahead with an expansion of our “Chicago Experience” program for high school students that will include several multi-day programs with two “charter” schools in the City of Chicago and community organizations.  Over the past several months, we’ve had three full-day programs introducing students to planning and development in the region.

These monthly events typically run from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and are free of charge. Check our website for information about the upcoming gathering on January 29.
