Advising is a relationship of shared responsibilities, as outlined in De Paul's Statement on Advising. Current students can check their advising status by using the Student Records' web-based tool, "Who Is My Advisor?"
Students who have declared a Biology Major receive academic advising
from assigned faculty of the Department. If you are already a
Biology major, but do not have Biology faculty member listed as your advisor, come to the Biological Sciences office (2325 N.
Clifton Avenue., Rm 118 McGowan Hall) or call 773-325-7595 to
be assigned one.
To declare a Biology Major, Biology Minor, or get specific advice
on our departmental programs, see our Frequently
Asked Questions (FAQ)
A credit
evaluation sheet,
listing all the courses necessary for graduation with a major
in Biology, is available for download here.
Students are strongly encouraged to meet frequently with their
faculty advisor to discuss the choice and scheduling of these
courses.
If you are not a Biology major and need general advising help, call 773/325-7310 to schedule an appointment with a general college advisor.
