Study Skills Workshops:
Throughout the quarter, the center
provides a variety of workshops that are targeted to improve the
academic success of college students. The following topics
are addressed:

Learning Styles

Time Management
-
Test Anxiety
Certification Tests Workshops:
In order to become a certified
teacher in the state of Illinois, education majors must pass
three ICTS tests during their program. The center provides
workshops for students planning on taking the Basic Skills,
Content Area, and Assessment of Professional Teachers
exams.
Tutoring: For students who
are in need of additional help with
DePaul courses or ICTS exams, the center offers individual
tutoring with DePaul University graduate students. Services
include tutoring in Math, Reading, and Writing.
Academic Counseling:
The center provides counseling through
graduate students from the Human Services and Counseling
that are completing the clinical portion of the program. In
addition to giving group workshops, the graduate students are
available for individual counseling to students in the School of
Education.
Computer Resources: SAC
Room 303 contains three
computers with Internet access and educational software
technology such as Kurzweil 3000.

in SAC Room 303, the
center provides a library of the following materials:
