The Biograph Theater is one of Chicago's oldest neighborhood movie houses. Built in 1914 by architect Samuel N. Crowen, the Biograph has the charm of an old time movie house. The theater is best known as the place where John Dillinger was shot and killed in 1934. Legend has it that the ghost of Dillinger haunted this theater.

The theater closed for a short time in 2001 and reopened in 2002. The theater remained open until 2004, when it closed again. The theater is expected to open again around the end of 2005.
