INTERNAL GRANTS PROGRAM
OVERVIEW OF SERVICES
The Office of Faculty Development and Research provides university-wide support for faculty development through the Quality of Instruction Council (QIC), the University Research Council (URC), and the Public Service Council (PSC). The Associate Vice President for the Office of Faculty Development and Research chairs the three councils, which are composed of faculty and academic administrators. The Office also sponsors other opportunities, including new faculty orientation, tenure and paid-leave workshops, and select international faculty language immersion programs.
Please note that Electronic Submission is required for QIC, URC & PSC
grants, leaves and awards.
Electronic submission of proposals is required. All parts of the proposal (Abstract, proposal narrative, budget narrative and budget, required endorsements or other attachments, and CV) should be submitted electronically via this website. The files will be downloaded and converted to PDF files for distribution to the Councils. The budget form can be downloaded from our website, filled out, and submitted with your application. Faculty should note that Internal Grant templates are only available on this website. To be certain that you are using the correct form, please download the template directly from this website as these are revised from time to time.
Faculty proposals will continue to reside on our database after submission and will be available for referencing by the faculty who have submitted them. From
Spring 2004 submissions and onward, each faculty member will be able to see their internal grant proposals on this website.
The Office of Sponsored Programs and Research provides assistance in applying for external grants. Many of the schools and colleges also provide faculty development opportunities, and faculty members are urged to form long-term plans for their professional development.
