Working at the University Center for Writing-based Learning (UCWbL) gives caring, intellectually curious undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to engage in the highly rewarding experience of helping other writers.
We place a great deal of value in hiring a diverse staff from across all DePaul's programs and colleges, so please consider joining our community of peer writing tutors.
Writing Center Tutors are paid undergraduate and graduate students who work regular shifts in one or more of the Writing Center locations where they conference with writers in person or online.
Writing Fellows are paid undergraduate students who work in teams assigned to specific classes. Twice a quarter, Writing Fellows provide students with revision-oriented written feedback and meet with them in face-to-face conferences.
Writing Fellows and Writing Center Tutors also can serve as Writing Group Leaders who facilitate peer review workshops at the Loop, Lincoln Park, Naperville, Oak Forest, and O'Hare Campuses.
All UCWbL staff members are peer writing tutors.
