Sasha’s Academic Curriculum Vitae
Biographical Information Sasha Dekleva is a Professor Emeritus at the Driehaus College of Business, DePaul University in Chicago. His areas of expertise include electronic business, information systems analysis and design, data management and database design, management of information technology, mobile commerce, and outsourcing of information services. He has over ten years of industrial experience in engineering, systems analysis and management at IBM and other companies in Slovenia. Before joining the faculty at DePaul
University in 1985, he has taught at the University
of Iowa, University of Maribor, and
the University of Ljubljana. Sasha has
conducted many seminars and served as a consultant to numerous companies and
government agencies in Slovenia and the U.S.A. He holds a Ph.D. in
information systems from the University of
Belgrade, a master degree in information science from the University of Zagreb and an
undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Ljubljana. Research interests
Electronic business, mobile commerce, valuation of investments in IT, management of information technology, data management and software maintenance. Sasha has authored two books and over 50 papers. His papers appeared in journals such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Communications of the ACM, Data Base, Information & Management, Journal of Software Maintenance, Information Systems Research, Journal of Systems and Software and many others.
