Financial Aid

For Domestic and International Students
Two types of financial assistance are awarded to selected students who have been accepted into the full-time MBA program, graduate assistant positions and scholarships. Both types of aid are awarded on a merit basis, utilizing the same criterion used in the admissions process, including, but not limited to GMAT scores, undergraduate academic achievement, work experience, letters of recommendation, and a personal statement.

1. Graduate Assistant Position: In exchange for working 10 hours per week for an academic department, students receive a partial tuition waiver and stipend. Graduate Assistants routinely assist professors with active research and/or perform general office work.

2. Scholarships: Several scholarships are available which provide partial tuition waiver. All graduate assistant positions and scholarships are awarded on a merit basis utilizing the same criterion used in the admissions process, including, but not limited to GMAT scores, undergraduate academic achievement, work experience, letters of recommendation, and a personal statement.

For Domestic Students
In addition to merit awards, you may also apply for loans through the Financial Aid Office. In order to be considered for financial aid, you must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid) and submit the results to DePaul University.

Tuition and Payment Plan
Each student is billed the current credit hours charge, currently $650.00 per hour (2002-2003)

If a student is unable to pay tuition on a quarterly basis, an alternate payment plan (DePuPP) can be arranged through the Student Accounts office:

DePaul University Payment Plan (DePUPP)
DePUPP is a convenient monthly payment plan that allows students to pay tuition in monthly installments. Since this is not a loan program, it carries no interest charges and there are no credit or financial need requirements. Students or families who wish to participate in DePUPP should complete and submit a plan application, along with the $30 application fee, to the Office of Student Accounts. To obtain an application or additional information, please contact DePaul's Office of Student Accounts at 312/362-8480, or visit their web site.
