Human Development

     This course covers human development from infancy through later adulthood. The lifespan is divided into the periods of infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood and later adulthood (old age).  The course focuses on normal persons' cognitive, emotional, language and social development.  The course is a Liberal Studies Course in the Learning Domain of Self, Society and the Modern World.  It is also considered a Level II course in the Behavioral and Social Sciences Division (for those students operating under this system).  The course is not generally intended for Psychology majors but may be counted as a Psychology major elective for Psychology majors in the Comprehensive Evening Program.  Otherwise, it may count only as a Liberal Studies course or a general elective.   A course prerequisite is one quarter of Introductory Psychology, either at DePaul or at another university.
