I hope you are enjoying Spring Break, and are relaxed and rejuvenated for classes next week. There have been some significant improvements to D2L recently, such as the “Daylight” interface that provides a mobile-friendly design that allows students and faculty to have a pleasant experience no matter what device they use (our students have been very happy about this).

Josh Lund from FITS will be providing a guest presentation on Tuesday March 27th. Here is what he has to say:

D2L Daylight Launches At DePaul August 26

A big change is coming to DePaul's D2L user interface (UI). On August 26, D2L's new user interface, known as Daylight, will be activated. The functionality of D2L will remain generally identical to our current system, but will feature a modern design that works across all device types. The Daylight UI will provide more user accessibility and compatibility, particularly for mobile devices. You can learn more about Daylight and get a sneak peak here.

In D2L, "Dropbox "will be renamed to "Submissions" on the Navigation bar. This is a name change only, and will provide the same access and functionality as the current D2L system. Ahead of the release and through the Fall Quarter, Faculty Instructional Technology Services (FITS) will be offering webinar sessions to introduce the new interface and features. Visit go.depaul.edu/techevents to find more information and RSVP for one of the upcoming sessions.
