Adobe Rush
01/09/22 14:24
Today, I attended Adobe’s “Academic Videos and Podcasts with Adobe Rush.” Rush looks to be an alternative to Screenflow, Camtasia, or iMovie for students, faculty, and staff to create video content. Audio content is possible too (rather than using Audacity). This may be a good tool to promote.
Materials from today’s session are here. A badge/credential, through the creation of a video, is available.
(I also got Dreamweaver to finally work by using Adobe CC Cleaner)
Adobe Creative Cloud: Student Licenses
23/07/21 12:53
There has been a slight change to student licenses for Adobe Creative Cloud at DePaul.
Faculty can request access for the classes that they teach:
Please contact your college office class scheduler to flag your class that require Adobe Creative Cloud, once it is flagged in the class scheduler, DePaul has a process in place to add those students to give them access to Adobe Creative Cloud at home license for that quarter.
Course schedulers add the attribute ‘ADOB’ to the class.
- Previously, all DePaul students had automatic access to the Adobe Creative Cloud Software (Acrobat DC, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc.).
- Now, DePaul students have access to install Adobe Creative Cloud on their personal computer if they are enrolled in a DePaul class that requires Adobe Creative Cloud use.

Adobe Seminar: Exploring Creative Cloud for Enterprise
27/02/14 15:38
Tom Maier and I attended the Adobe Seminar (Exploring Creative Cloud for Enterprise) this morning. At the event Tom and I asked:
- Where can faculty, who may be intimidated by the Adobe resources for creative professionals, get documentation on how to use the Creative Cloud programs? i.e. Where can you get info on the fundamentals?
- Where can faculty get and see examples of best practice in education using the Creative Cloud programs?
The answer to question one was:
https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/learn/tutorials.html
(and click on Fundamentals)
The answer to question two was:
http://edex.adobe.com
Adobe Education Exchange. Membership is free, but needs an Adobe ID.
Adobe Education Exchange also has a series of MOOCs (providing a certificate) that train educators in the various tools. This is something I highly recommend.
Adobe Creative Cloud Resources

Josh Luttig, my colleague in Information Services, just shared these Adobe Creative Cloud resources with me:
- Adobe Education Exchange (free tutorials and professional development): http://edex.adobe.com
- Adobe TV (tons of free videos) http://tv.adobe.com
- More learning tutorials: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/learn/tutorials.html
DePaul has a great deal, where staff and faculty can use Adobe CC on home machines for only $10 a year. Work computers have Adobe CC installed for free. More information can be found here:
