ITS / IS Video Tutorial:
Embedding slides in Blackboard

Providing access via Blackboard to lecture slides to the students enrolled in your class is easy and secure with the technique demonstrated here. Rather than just posting slides as a slide file, with this method students do not have to have Powerpoint software nor do they have to download large files. These five brief video tutorials show you how to do it, step-by-step:

    1. What slides embedded in a Blackboard course look like
    2. How to download and install the free Picasa program from Google to use to embed slides
    3. How to output slides from Powerpoint as .jpg files
    4. How import slides as .jpg files to Picasa, create the embedded slide code, and "package" it
    5. How to upload the zipped slide package to your Blackboard course.
