Summer and Autumn Registration
for Classes Begins May 6
Registration for Summer and Autumn Quarter classes begins
May 6. By now all continuing students should have received
an
e-mail announcement, which lists the day and time they can
register for classes. Because we are expecting high demand
for core courses in the two graduate programs as well as
for certain traditionally popular classes, you should register
as soon as you can. Students with more completed hours may
register before students with fewer hours completed. If
you have not received an e-mail announcement about your
registration access time, contact the LA&S graduate
office at 773 325-7315.
Your registration day/time is determined by the number
of graduate credit hours you have earned through winter
term. This figure includes hours you have taken in your
MAE or MAW program as well as in other DePaul graduate classes.
Below is the schedule for registration access:

You access the online registration portal through your
Campus
Connection account. If you attempt to register and encounter
a registration block, the problem is very likely a financial
block, meaning the system shows that you owe tuition charges
from a previous quarter. You should then access your individual
financial account information on Campus Connection to see
what charges are due. Removing financial blocks can be done
only by personnel in the Student Financial Accounts office,
312 362-6628. Neither your program director nor Mrs. Flood
can remove this block.
In selecting your courses, make sure that the classes you
choose fulfill the degree or distribution requirements that
you need. You can determine this by clicking on the Summer
or Fall class schedule links on the Ex
Libris home page and then clicking on individual courses,
which brings you to the page showing course descriptions.
At the bottom of each description entry is a sentence stating
which core, area, or concentration requirement(s) are being
fulfilled by the class.
Each quarter we offer several sections of ENG 409 Topics
in Language, Rhetoric, and Writing. You are free to take
multiple sections of ENG 409 Topics because they are different
courses and will appear on your transcript by the individual
course title. Depending on course content, some 409s fulfill
different concentrations (Tech/Prof Writing, Literary Writing,
Writing Theory/Pedagogy) in the MAW.
If you have questions about how a particular class works
in your individual course of student, do not hesitate to
contact Mrs. Flood (jflood@depaul.edu)
or your program director (MAE: Professor Kordecki,
lkordeck@depaul.edu; MAW: Professor Sirles, csirles@depaul.edu).
