Dr. Lesley Kordecki: New MAE Director

Lesley Kordecki, the new Director of the MA in English, specializes in medieval literature, Shakespeare, and literary theory. Her graduate degrees are from the Centre for Medieval Studies at the University of Toronto. Her recent publications trace the significance of the "animal voice" in Chaucer's works, and she is presently working on a book combining interpretation and staging of feminist productions of Shakespeare's King Lear. A member of the DePaul faculty since 2001, she came to the Lincoln Park Campus last year from Barat College, where for many years she directed the English program. She enjoyed interacting with graduate students in English last year, and now looks forward to working with the MAE students in the future. If you are in the graduate offices, stop by and introduce yourself.
