Jim Kraus, a student in the MAW program, has recently signed a three-book deal with RiverOak Publishing. RiverOak is an imprint of D.C. Cook Communications, headquartered in Colorado Spring. The books will be featured in their contemporary fiction line. The first book will be released in the spring of 2008.

Aaron James Ottinger will present his paper, "The Homosocial Milton: Milton's "Comus", Power, and Female Identity" at the Midwestern Conference on Literature, Language, and Media to be held at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL on March 30 and 31, 2007.

Dawn Scianna is currently an English teacher at Benet Academy, a Catholic high school. She teaches British literature and World literature.

Melanie Yergeau will be presenting two papers at the Sigma Tau Delta International Convention in Pittsburgh on March 28 and 29. Her first paper is part of a writing pedagogy panel, and also presenting will be fellow MAW student Katie Wozniak. Her second paper is a creative nonfiction piece entitled "The Constellation Urine," and, as the title indicates, it concerns urine. Melanie has been strongly advised to leave the latter paper off of her future CVs.
