Alan Ackmann recently received word of some forthcoming publications for his short stories. He has one short story forthcoming in Ontario Review, and another one in Clackamas Literary Review.

Michele Morano will be reading from her new essay collection, Grammar Lessons: Translating a Life in Spain, at Women and Children First Bookstore, Friday, March 16, 7:30pm.

Also, Michele Morano and Dan Stolar presented papers at the AWP Conference in Atlanta on March 3. Their panel was titled: The Roving "I": Constructing Narrators in the Travel Essay.

Francesca Royster is going to be part of an PRI radio documentary, "Shakespeare in American Life," produced by Richard Paul, as part of the Folger Shakespeare Library's Shakespeare in American Life Exhibition that will open March 6 and run through August 2007. In the interview, she discusses the minstrel show tradition on the Shakespeare stage and ideas about performing blackness in late eighteenth- and nineteenth-century performance.
