                 Writing Center: Tutor Nominations

Nominations are now being accepted for Writing Center Applicants.

Peter Vandenberg, Director of the University Center for Writing-based Learning (UCWbL), and Liz Coughlin, Assistant Director for Consulting Services, ask faculty to nominate students to apply for a position as a tutor consultant with the UCWbL for Fall 2007. Nominations are due on Monday, April 23, 2007.

Graduate students interested in applying first must ask a faculty member to nominate them, and should give their preferred email address to their professor to send along with the nomination (nominees will be contacted by email and invited to apply).

Applicants accepted to the program will be automatically assigned a seat in English 482, Writing Center Theory and Pedagogy, which all new tutors must take, and will be paid for their work in the Center.

The UCWbL is offering an Information Meeting for interested students on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at 3:30 in 250 McGaw, the UCWbL's LPC office. Nominations and questions should be directed to Liz Coughlin at ecoughli@depaul.edu.
