Research Colloquium in English & Writing

About

DePaul's chapter of Sigma Tau Delta (the international English honor society) and the English Graduate Student Association are soliciting papers from English/Writing undergraduate and graduate students for the first annual student research colloquium, a forum meant to facilitate discussion on student work. Current students will present research from the fields of language, literature, and rhetoric and composition, research that has been undertaken while at DePaul.

The event will be held at DePaul University's Lincoln Park Campus on Friday, May 11 at 6:00pm.

Submissions

The submission deadline for the RCEW event is Monday, April 30 at 5pm. Submissions should be sent, as an MS Word attachment, to Sigma Tau Delta at sigma.depaul@gmail.com. Submitters should include, in the body of their email message, a 75-word abstract as well as their current contact information and class standing. Students should also indicate in which English/Writing class(es) they composed their papers.

If accepted, students will have approximately 15 minutes to read and/or present their papers. As such, papers submitted should be approximately 6 to 8 pages in length. One submission per person, please.

Students do not need to be members of Sigma Tau Delta or EGSA in order to submit.
