Tuition Waiver Scholarships

This year the M.A. programs in English and Writing will offer Partial Tuition Scholarships (PTS) to recognize the academic achievement and financial need of students in the department's two graduate programs in English. Partial Tuition Scholarships provide a 25% reimbursement for tuition paid for up to two 2005 Autumn Quarter courses taken toward the M.A. in English or M.A. in Writing degree. [NOTE: The PTS can only be applied to courses needed for the MAE/MAW degree.]

You are eligible to apply for these Partial Tuition Scholarships if:

• You have completed at least two courses in the MAE or MAW
• You are enrolled in one or more classes for the current term
• You maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.6 or higher
• You are paying your own tuition and fees (without financial assistance from any grant or scholarship agency or employee reimbursement program. Student loans are okay.)

To apply for a Partial Tuition Scholarship for the 2005 autumn term, please e-mail Mrs. Jan Flood, Assistant Director of Graduate Programs in English, at jflood@depaul.edu.

Your e-mail message must include the following, and it must be listed in this order:

• Your name, e-mail address, seven-digit DePaul student number, and graduate program (MAE or MAW)
• The course(s) in which you are enrolled for 2005 Autumn Quarter
• Courses taken and grades received for all courses taken toward your master's degree
• Your cumulative GPA for all graduate courses taken at DePaul
• A brief description of your tuition-payment circumstances

Requests that do not include this information will not be considered. All requests must be made by e-mail. Your e-mail must be received no later than Monday, October 3, 2005. You will be notified of the decision by e-mail within ten days after the deadline.
